Most people tend to neglect simple eye-care,taking a gift of vision as something that will always stay with them.In order to preserve normal eyesight a body must receive all the necessary nutrients. So it is important to pay attention to what we eat. However, except foods, necessary for eye care, there are also some herbs and easy exercises that are beneficial to the eyesight and can fight eye diseases.

Carrot juice is a perfect provider of nourishment for healthy eyes, as it is a richest source of vitamin A. This juice can be taken in any amount and at any time. Twice a year use carrot juice as a treatment-drink 1 glass of it every morning during 1 month.

Parsley juice is very effective at many eye diseases. Cataract and conjunctivitis are among them. It is one of the strongest juices; therefore it is not advisable to drink more than 30-40 ml a day. Use mix of parsley and carrots juices.

Beet juice provides a good eye-care by cleansing the eyes, blood and the whole body. Add 2 tbsp of beet juice to the mix of carrot and parsley juices.

40 g of crushed calamus (sweet flag) roots put in 200 g of 40 % alcohol or vodka, cover with tight lid and let stand in dark place for 8 days, squeeze out and filter. Take 20 drops 2 times a day before meal.

2 tsp of sweet flag roots put in 1 cup of boiling water and steep, covered, for 2 hours. Filter and take ¼ cup 3 times a day 30 min before meal.

1 part of crushed barberry leaves combine with 5 parts of 40% alcohol or vodka, let stay for 5 days and filter. Take 30-40 drops 3 times a day before meal.

10 g of dried crushed schizandra berries put in 1 cup of boiling water and boil for 15 min at low heat, filter and add boiled water to make full cup again. Take 1 tbsp twice a day. (Both times before lunch.). Schizandra is not recommended at insomnia, hypertension and heart and vascular diseases.

1 cup of wheat kernels mix with 1 tbsp of sugar and warm boiled water, just enough to moisten the wheat. Let stand in dark place for 12 hours. After that keep the wheat in fridge. Take 1 tbsp in the morning on empty stomach. When this portion is done take a break for 10 days and repeat. For the full course of eye-care treatment you will need 3 cups of wheat kernels. It is a powerfull eye care remedy.

This remedy is believed to be able to treat myopia at any stage. Place layers of elder berries and sugar in glass jar and let stand for 3 days outside in the sun. Take 1tsp 3 times a day 15 min before meal for 1-2 months. Repeat 1-2 times a year if needed.

Take 1 tbsp of fresh onion juice, mixed with equal amount of honey, 2-3 times a day.

Combine mash of rue grass (10 parts), mash of parsley (1 part) and honey (1 part). Take 1 tsp 3 times a day 30-40 min before meal.

Synthesizing all the little principles vision improvement for a synergistic effect

If you've been religiously reading the Perfect Vision For Life Newsletter, by now you should know quite a bit about improving your eyesight. How are your eyes doing now? The sad fact is... most people who read this newsletter is not going to do anything to change their habit. And if you don't do anything, then nothing will improve.

If you ARE one of those people who practice what they know (and I'm sure you are), then you probably have a lot on your plate right now. This issue of the newsletter is to help people like you get the bigger picture of what you're doing. We are done analysing (breaking a big problem into smaller problems) and we'll now start synthesizing (combining small solutions into one big solution).

First off, let's recap what we have covered so far.

It's not your eyes that see. It's your brain. And your brain have the power to improve itself, from the mere act of imagining.
One great way to imagine is to palm your eyes and imagine seeing clearly.
The eye exercises that you'll be doing (or is doing) is not meant to "strengthen" your eye muscles, but on the contrary, to relax it. These exercises achieve this by making you see the "proper" way.
The way you breathe affects your whole body - including your eyes.
Underexposing your eyes to sunlight is equally harmful to overexposing.
Blinking is a great way to relax your eyes so make sure you blink every 3 -4 seconds.
They sound like a lot of work right? So let's start synthesizing them into one routine that you can easily follow.

Here's what I do. First thing I do when I wake up, I drink a large glass of water. Then I palm for 5 - 10 minutes. Set a timer so you wouldn't worry about doing too short or too long.

When I palm, I imagine the things that relaxes me - a stretch of sandy quiet beach and the gentle wind. On that beach is me without my glasses and drinking fresh coconut juice (what else?). I also consciously imagine clearly seeing someone's face from afar on that beach - it's my husband. ( Imagining that you see something clearly without your glasses will take some practice if you've been wearing glasses your whole life).

After I palm, I go out for a morning walk to expose my eyes to the gentle morning sun (6.30 am). After the walk, I would sit on a bench, close my eyes with my face facing up and swing my head. Meanwhile I breathe deeply and again I imagined something that soothes me.

Then I go back home and continue with my daily life. How long did my morning routine takes? About 20 - 30 minutes. The difference I feel for the rest of the day... is really quite unbelievable unless you try it yourself.

So go try it. Next week I'll introduce you to yet another eye exercise and if you don't master these basics for now (There's a reason why I only send out one issue of this newsletter per week. It's to give you time to practice.)... then learning more eye exercises would be just as unproductive.

Focusing Your Way to Perfect Vision
Is your life busy? Are you multi-tasking a lot? If so, you're probably breaking one of the natural vision improvement principle.

If you often multi-task, there's a good chance you're also multi-tasking with your eyes. You probably look at more than one thing at a time... and looking at more than one thing at a time places unnecessary strain on your eyes.

Try this. Get two pebbles and place them about 20 inches apart. Ask a friend of yours who have perfect vision to look at pebble A. Then ask him/her if he/she can look at pebble B. Their answer is probably not. That's because our eyes are meant to look at just one thing at a time.

I remember an incident whereby a basketball player friend of mine came to me saying how he wish he can see "more things at once". That way he can then know when an opponent sneaks up on him. He had perfect vision, but as soon as he tried to see "more", his eyesight deteriorated.

Of course, at the time I didn't know about that principle of focus or I'd have warned him.

So what can you do to focus your sight? All you have to do is do the exercise I mentioned above. At your first try, you probably can clearly see both pebbles. Try to look at one only.

Remember, don't stare. Blink often and take deep breaths. This exercise is not meant to encourage you to place more effort into seeing. It's meant to remind you how your eyes used to work.

Basic Eye Care

Take A vitamin diet to make eyes brighter. (papaya, eggs, fish, milk, cilantro etc.,)

Wash eyes with cold water to get sparkling eyes.

Put sliced cucumber over your eyes to treat dark circles.

Put potato slices on your eye to get rid off those dark circles.

Soak amla overnight in water and use this water the next morning to wash the eyes.
Soak cotton in Luke warm milk and cover eyes with it for 15 min.

To soothe tired eyes, dip cotton pads in chilled milk and place on closed eyes for 10 minutes. Now relax completely.

To completely relax the eyes and the surrounding muscles, close your eyes and think of something that is pleasant or soothing and at a distance. Now gently open your eyes and look into the distance. Next focus on an object at arm's length. Do this extremely relaxing exercise four or five times a day.

If your eye twitches, or your eyes are red and feeling itchy, massage your scalp with curd.

Soak 1 tsp. dry amla in one cup of water overnight. Next morning strain it through a muslin cloth and then add one extra cup of water. Splash your eyes with this solution each morning. This makes your eyes sparkle.

For Puffy Eyes: Grate a potato with its peel and apply on your closed eyelids for about 20 minutes and relax completely. You may even take a nap.


Wash your face before sleeping, and ensure that there is no make-up on your face before you sleep, because, make-up creams may spoil your face as it will be there for the whole night. It is better if no cream is applied. What I feel is, wash your face before sleeping and if at all you want to apply any cream, just apply night cream and none other than that.
